French, English and Spanish.

If you could be fluent in any other language, what would it be and why?

Chinese and Japanese, because one of my future goals is to reach the Asian market.

Do you have experience living in other countries? If so, where?

Belgium, United States, Spain and Canada.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how much do you enjoy being a translator and why?

I will give it an 8. I love how I can constantly learn about new subjects/fields, choose the projects I want to accept or not, and work from pretty much anywhere as long as I have a fast internet connection. However, I wish the platform would offer more payment options.

How has translating for Gengo impacted your life?

It has brought me more business opportunities.

When you were growing up, what did you aspire to become?

So many things, and actually, I’ve achieved some of them. My expertise ranges from localization, trading and medical research.

My top translation tools are CafeTran, SmartCAT and Linguee.

I would recommend the movie “Arrival”.

What advice would you give to new or aspiring translators?

Find work, hone your skills, find more work and repeat.

Work hard, be yourself and don’t listen to the naysayers.

What do you enjoy most about Gengo?

The Support team is by far one of the most efficient and responsive groups of people I have dealt with in the industry. Also, the variety of the projects offered is a huge plus.
