Volume in top 10 language pairs
All languages from the top 10 list are the same as the month prior. 2.6M characters were translated in Japanese to English last month, an increase from January. Dutch to British English, English to French and English to Japanese also had strong months, translating 2.3M, 1.6M and 1.4M words, respectively.
Pickup time
After 3 months of dropping pickup times, we saw a slight slowdown in February to 89 min. This means that 95% of jobs were picked up from the dashboard by a translator within 89 min of being ordered by the customer. As a comparison, January’s pickup time was 39 min. Speed is one of the key factors that is important to Gengo customers, so we will continue to monitor this metric carefully.
Quality score
After an increase in quality in January, we saw our average quality score go down in February. In total, the average score given was 9.01 out of 10. The figure is lower than we’ve seen before, so in response, we’ve been conducting more in-depth quality assessments to ensure that all active translators are up to the standards we expect.
Happy translating!
